Weekly Update 3-21-2020

Weekly update from HSAC Management 3/21/20
Dear Harbor Square Members,

In response to this mandate, we have closed the athletic club, tennis center, and kidzone through March 31st. The offices and front desk will not be manned and staff members are not on-site.

Membership rates and collecting dues
In the event that we are not able to open our doors to you, we will negate your invoices for the affected month. This will go into effect on April 1st, in the event that we are not permitted to re-open the facility. You will not be charged your sta…

HSAC to close Temporarily

Dear Members,
It is with great consideration and out of an abundance of caution that we have made the decision to temporarily close Harbor Square Athletic Club until March 22, 2020. Our priority is to preserve the overall health and wellness of our members, staff, and community, and to do our part to flatten the curve in the rise of COVID-19 in our area. The best tool we have to help with this is social distancing, to do this we have made the decision to temporarily close the club. This decision was made after seeking the counsel of health organizations, and the local department of health.
Our plan is to evaluate the situation daily and make decisions for re-opening the club on a weekly basis. *You will be notified by Friday each week if we will be open or closed on the following Monday. You may reference our website for the most up to date information.  As regular exercisers, you understand the value of staying active. You can access a comprehensive catalog of online classes that we wi…

UPDATE REGARDING POSITIVE TEST FOR COVID-19 3-14-2020
Hello to our valued members,
Thank you so much for your patience as we have been working diligently to determine the best course of action regarding a single member who reported a positive test of COVID-19 .
We have been advised of the following information regarding the risk of exposure:
Those who are considered at risk of exposure have had close contact with the affected individual.
This is the CDC's definition of close contact pertaining to COVID-19: "Close contact is defined as:

a) being within approximately 6 feet (2 meters) of a COVID-19 case for a prolonged period of time; close contact can occur while caring for, living with, visiting, or sharing a healthcare waiting area or room with a COVID-19 case

– or –

b) having direct contact with infectious secretions of a COVID-19 case (e.g., being coughed on)"
We have determined those that we believe to have been in direct prolonged contact with this member and ha…

Update regarding confirmed COVID-19 case

UPDATE

We notified you earlier today that a member of Harbor Square tested positive for COVID-19. We have already notified those who we know to have been in the same vicinity as this member or had direct contact. The Snohomish Health Department will follow up with Harbor Square, the member who received the positive test, and anyone else who they deem necessary to contact.

We have acted quickly and out of an abundance of caution to protect our members and our staff. Please continue to check this page for the latest updates. Thank you.

Confirmed case of COVID-19

To our valued members,

We were informed today that a member came into the athletic club ONLY (not the tennis center or kid zone) between the dates of February 24, 2020, and March 12, 2020, who has tested positive for COVID-19. The Snohomish County Department of Health will contact anyone (member and employee alike) who had possible, direct and prolonged contact with this member. The Health Department will conduct outreach to these individuals on their next steps and if they need to stay home and self-monitor. The Snohomish County Department of Health is conducting "contact tracing" which means the Health Department will reach out to anyone who has been determined to be at risk from exposure to someone who has tested positive for COVID-19. Any member or staff who did not have direct or prolonged contact with the member is categorized as low risk. If you are not contacted by the Snohomish County Department of Health you can consider that you are at low risk.

The Snohomish Coun…
